Planning my meals ahead 3. Eggs are my go to time saving meals. Congrats on the new release. It's always exciting to see new recipes and books to choose from. I love that you have a different angle than most too. Prep, prep, prep. My husband loved it. Slow cookers are amazing for a mum as you can just prep the meal and leave it to cook. My favourite is pulled pork in the slow cooker it just melts and is great with some crunchy coleslaw on the side.
I also love a good roast, whether it's lamb, pork, beef or a whole chicken there are always lots of leftovers for making lunches or dinners and a great way to keep your meat bill down. In terms of vegetables if you want to save time and money there are some great frozen options which especially when the verges are out of season are just as good as fresh as they are picked and packed at their prime.
I love to cook in my pressure cooker, it makes meal time quick and easy. Since there is only 2 of us in the house, we usually cook extra so we have leftovers for lunch the next day.
I buy lettuce and prep it for easy salads with some protein and nuts for a quick meal when we don't feel like cooking. Would love to be able to use this book for making delicious Keto recipes for my hubby and I!go to site

The less the prep, the less the fret. I would so like to win one of your books. I am new to the Keto diet and can use all the help I can get! Thank you! My favorite ways to save time during cooking and meal prep include the use of my pressure cooker, making more than is needed for the meal and then freezing some for another time, and cooking a week's meals at one time and then having them all ready to go for the rest of the week by reheating and adding fresh items, such as a salad.
I'm really excited about your new cookbook, Martina! I've always loved slow-cooked food, it really adds a lot of flavour and certainly ends up saving money as well as time! When buying ingredients that I normally just use in small amounts, such as chili peppers, I think it's better to buy in bulk. Chili peppers, for example, can be cut up and de-seeded before being popped into the freezer. Whenever I want to add a small kick to a dish, I just grab a piece and heat it straight in the pan.
It's literally ready to use within seconds. I ignore sell-by-dates and best-before-dates. These are, for obvious reasons, heavily on the conservative side with shops following a 'just in case I get sued' mentality IMO.

I think it's much better to just use your common sense together with your ordinary senses. Ingredients that have gone off either look, smell, or taste strange. A quick check is enough to tell me whether to put it in the bin or in the pot. It saves money on throwing out ingredients unnecessarily. I'm very careful to save money when buying meat. A whole chicken is cheaper than buying breast, thighs, wings etc. Cheaper cuts of beef stew or slow-cook very well and are cheaper. Pork is cheaper than beef etc. I always go to a local butcher where I can get bones and chicken carcasses thrown in for free, later to be used when making delicious homemade stock.
I'm living on a very tight budget but always try not to skimp on quality when it comes to food. I buy organic free-range eggs etc. It does mean though that I don't buy expensive ingredients such as almond flour, sweeteners etc, so no low-carb treats for me!

God is awesome. Can you please share what you mean by the ketogenic cancer diet. Is it a lot different from the regular keto diet. For time saving tips. It cuts cooking time way down. For those all day slow simmer days I absolutely the slow cooker. For instance at the first of the week I will take my almonds I plan to eat for that week, and weigh out a serving and put them into individual baggies so when that day comes I can just grab a bag and put it in my lunch box and go.
Prep all your veggies for the week on a day off. Make flavor bombs and freeze in ice cube trays for a quick way to add flavor. Shop Farmer's Markets when possible to get the freshest, cheap, local and seasonal produce. I always prep for the weeks meals, veggies etc and have them ready to put in crockpot in the morning, I also always have a game plan for the week, what to do each day for the next days meal like "Monday , take chicken out of freezer" , planning dinners, preparing meals to freeze is also on my list. I try to do a big prep day several times a year so when life gets busy I can take a fully prepped meal out of the freezer and into the crockpot or instant pot!
Always use coupons, always make a list before going to the store and prepare your foods get it out and do any shopping before you need to cook it and have your food items sitting by the stove before you get started cooking. Wow - this is an amazing giveaway. Thank you for the chance. My top 3 cooking tips are: - batch cooking and freezing - slow cooker meals - IP meals. I just started doing the Keto way of eating to better my health and the health of my family.
I have your cookbook on hold at my library. Can't wait to get started! In our house, the biggest thing that keeps me from staying Keto is dinner.
